Mrs. Youngs showcases a new type of scientist each month using Blabberize to  put herself in the middle of the action.  She records her voice using GarageBand.  Mockingbird students are encouraged to visit the blog and comment about the types of careers they might find interesting.

PBL Lesson for Engineering - Brooke Barad

Brooke used a PBL lesson with her students to help teach about arches.  They were challenged to build the strongest arch possible.  In order to create the arch, the students needed to learn how to create strong arches by using the engineering design process.
